THE GO FUND
GO & TELL
Through our sermon series, Sent, we will focus on what it means to belong to a church that sends and to become people whose hearts are willing to be sent.
Jesus calls His Church to take the Gospel beyond ourselves—to our neighbors, our city, and the nations. Being sent is more than going on a mission trip. It is a posture of obedience that says, “Here I am, Lord. Send me.”
At Highland, we want to be a church that continually equips, supports, and sends people wherever God is calling them.
The Highland Go Fund
From Oct. 4 through the end of December, we have an opportunity to invest in advancing the Gospel worldwide.
Together, Highland has set a goal to raise $2 million to establish the Highland Go Fund.
This fund will allow us to intentionally invest in sending and supporting Gospel work by:
Sending college students around the world with the Gospel, helping remove financial barriers so students can say “yes” when God calls them to go.
Funding special projects with our mission partners, providing resources for strategic opportunities that advance the Gospel and strengthen ministry around the world.
We will put The Go Fund into a conservative investment account that will earn 5%; thus, a $2,000,000 principal will earn us $100,000 a year that we would use for sending college students and funding missions projects. The Go Fund will create a foundation for continued sending for decades and thus have a generational impact.
Why We Send
We believe the Great Commission belongs to the whole Church.
Some are called to go across the world. Some are called to faithfully live on mission right where God has placed them. And all of us have an opportunity to pray, give, encourage, and participate in what God is doing among the nations.
Our desire is not simply to raise $2 million. Our desire is to cultivate a church with a heart to be sent.
We want to see a generation of students empowered to carry the Gospel to the nations. We want to strengthen the missionaries and ministry partners already faithfully serving around the world. And we want to be ready to respond when God opens new doors for Gospel ministry.
How you can take action:
Pray for the Lord to raise up and send His people into the harvest.
Give toward the $2 million Highland Go Fund and help make sending possible.
Go wherever God is calling you—across the street, across the city, or across the world.
We are a sent people because we serve a sending God.
“As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”
